Mission and Goals

“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

The overarching goals of the campus – to lead the digital transformation of public health driven by public health needs – address key challenges in the health system and health services.

LSC DiPH aims to sustainably establish a competence center on digital public health in Bremen. The establishment of a digital health research panel, shared IT infrastructure and established networking structures within the stakeholder community, as well as the successful ECRA, provide excellent foundations for continuing our work beyond a second funding phase.

Contingency planning includes the establishment of a virtual center for digital public health alongside and integrating with existing local academic structures (high profile research areas; “Wissenschaftsschwerpunkte”, U Bremen Research Alliance).

The campus will thus continue to pursue its ambition as a science hub for digital public health development, evaluation and implementation nationally and internationally.
